Right from its launch, ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’ has been creating huge buzz for many reasons.  Being a joint production of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram, Nithin’s 25th project and the funny trailers, good songs promised a youthful romantic entertainer.

After ‘LIE’, Nithin and Megha Akash paired up again for this movie. Nithin has performed well overall and his comedy timing and portrayal of emotions are good enough. Megha Akash looked beautiful and did her role well. Rao Ramesh, Naresh, Madhu Nandan are Okay. Others are just passable.

Cinematography by Natarajan is very impressive. Production values are decent. Editing is just OK. Director Krishna Chaitanya has chosen a old story which actually doesn’t excite the audience. The screenplay is predictable. The narration is too flat that the audience are not so engaged. The director seems to have concentrated more on comedy and missed out the emotional connection.  However, the comedy has worked here and there becoming silly and overboard few times. Music by Thaman is good in songs but not so impressive in background score.

Overall, ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’ is just another romantic comedy entertainer with comedy here and there but is predictable.
