Agnyathavaasi Review : Huge Disappointment!

One of the most awaited movie of the year ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ has finally hit the screens with a highest pre-release business , record number of screens and huge hype. The Pawan Kalyan-Trivikram combo is one of the most successful one with 2 huge hits already.

Pawan Kalyan has undoubtedly carried the film on his shoulders. He is well fit for his role and looked classy. The leading ladies Keerthy Suresh and Anu Emanuel looked beautiful but has nothing to do in the film except for songs. Aadhi Pinishetty shined with his performance but has very least screen time. Khusboo has got a crucial role in which she performed excellently. Boman Irani is good. Tanikella Bharani is very good in his role. Rao Ramesh, Murali sharma, Vennela Kishore, Raghu Babu, Srinivas Reddy and others are just OK.

The movie is shot very grandly on a large scale. Everything looked rich. Cinematography by Manikandan is the best thing in the movie. Music by Anirudh is good enough in songs and Background score. Editing is just Ok with many scenes to be actually trimmed out. The director Trivikram who is very strong at writing seems to have not spend enough time in it this time. With weak charecterisations, Outdated comedy, silly romantic tracks, too many cinematic liberties etc, he failed to impress. The lack of emotions and bad treatment further spoiled. This is so far the weakest of Trivikram’s writing.

The much hyped “Kodaka Koteswara Rao” song too didn’t impress. The movie starts off on a thrilling note and later looses its momentum. The badly placed songs and bad romantic tracks further spoiled the flow of the movie. Too many cinematic liberties are taken by the makers and also few illogical scenes too prevailed. The comedy tracks did not work out well for the movie. They seemed outdated and silly at times. The characterisations of the actors are not strong at all. Added to these, the movie has badly missed the emotional quotient.

Overall, the movie is a huge disappointment from the crazy combo of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram.

Pros:
Pawan
Cinematography
Production Values

Cons:
Silly Comedy
Screenplay
Weak characterisations
Lack of emotions
Bad Love tracks

Rating : 2/5
