One of the most awaited movie of the season Jai Lava Kusa has finally arrived in theatres. NTR played three roles for the first time in this movie. Produced by Kalyan Ram under NTR Arts banner, this movie has released in over 2000 screens.
The basic story of the movie is about 3 brothers who are separated and later how they got united. Its all about their lives in between this phase. Undoubtedly, its NTR’s show all over. He performed extremely well in all the 3 roles he played and showed clear variation to each of them in ease. NTR, who is a proven actor gave his best and this can be considered his one of the best performances in his career. Nivetha Thomas and Raashi Khanna played the female leads and Tamannah appeared in a special song. Sai Kumar, Posani, Nanditha, Hamsa Nandini, Ronith Roy and others played their roles decently. However, the performance of NTR clearly overshadowed all of them.
Cinematography by Chota K Naidu is very good. Production values are decent by NTR Arts. Editing is just OK. The screenplay is very predictable and one can guess what happens next as the movie progresses. Songs are just Ok while background score shines. Dialogues are written well. Art work is good enough. Director Bobby seems to have concentrated more on ‘Jai’ character more than any of others. Though the story is old, he is successful to some extent in narrating it in an interesting way. All the way, the audience feel the thrill each time Jai character is on the screen.
Overall, the movie has many fan moments, great performance by NTR and few exciting episodes. However, a bit better screenplay which is not too predictable would have made this movie a huge success.
